How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing Without A Website
Everything is possible
Affiliate Marketing is a very good efficient way to create a passive income stream from your computer. But how can you make money using affiliate marketing without running a website? Luckily we live in 2020, where everything is possible. In this article, you will find out many ways to make money without a website.
As I told you in the last paragraph, there are many ways to make money with affiliate marketing without even running your own website. Some examples of very popular platforms to use for affiliate marketing are Instagram and Facebook. People are making a lot of money from these platforms.
These methods are also great for people who don’t want to start their own blog (yet). The advantage of social media is that you can create other content than just blog posts.
Before I can start to tell you all about these methods, you might want to know what affiliate marketing even means. If you are already familiar with affiliate marketing, feel free to skip this part. To make it as simple as possible; an affiliate (you) post their affiliate link in various types of content with to goal of visitors clicking on the link. When someone clicks on the link and decides to buy the product on the website you advertise, you will get a percentage of the total purchase amount. These amounts can vary from products and affiliate networks.

So now you know at least the basics of affiliate marketing, we are ready to move forward.
1) Social Media
This may not surprise you, since social media is being used by most of the population these days. And you can only imagine how powerful this is! Instagram for example has 1 billion users! And you can reach them all just by your phone. Of course, you aren’t going to reach everyone, that would be insane if you would! But that isn’t really necessary though.
The thing about using social media for affiliate marketing is targeting the right people on Instagram. You need to use hashtags to target people who are probably interested in the affiliate product you are promoting. I will write a blogpost about growing on Instagram soon, so I will put it right here!
Enough about Instagram, because besides Instagram there are a lot of other different platforms that might be even better for you depending on the product you are promoting. Examples of different social media are TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.
but what actually makes social media a good platform for affiliate marketing
If you want to make money with affiliate marketing without a website, you can use these platforms. They are open to anyone and have a wide potential audience as I told you earlier. Another great reason is that you might like to publish the type of content on Instagram instead of writing a blog post. This has to do with your own preference of content you’d like to create. But with different types of content comes different types of material you can promote. This depends on the product or service you are going to promote and the social media platform you are using.
2) Post on forums and other online communities
This might not come to you as the first platform to promote your affiliate links. But in fact, there are people doing this and they are most likely making money from it. So if they can, why can’t you?
There are many online forums and communities where you are able to interact with people. Take for example the popular platform Quora. On Quora people all over the world can ask various questions they have. Take for example the question ”what is the best book about gardening?”. You as an affiliate in this niche can answer this question by talking a bit about the book you recommend. You paste in an affiliate link from for example Amazon or any other online retailer that sells this book. The person who originally wrote this answer is probably into buying this book because he has already shown interest in it.
But you are not limited to just the person asking the question!
Not only the person who has originally written this question will potentially click on your link and order the book. Also, other people who have the same question will search for it and come across your answer! And again, they are probably interested in buying this book, because they also have shown interest in it by searching for this specific keyword gardening book.
So take advantage of these platforms. You aren’t limited to just Quora but you can also find other niche-related forums online or you might even join a Discord server within your niche! So with all these different platforms, this method is in my opinion a must-try!
3) Post articles on public sites
If you don’t want to host your own website and have the expanses of it, but you want to publish blog posts, this method is probably for you!
For example, I’m going to take a look at the popular website medium.com! This name might sound familiar to you. This is because probably you have read an article on medium.com before, from another blogger. Anyone is allowed to write content on medium.com. Of course, you must remember to publish high-quality content where someone might be interested in. You should also take a good look at the guidelines of this website because not everything is allowed on such a platform.
But more about the platform itself. You can post articles on this website for free and you will gain traffic from google to your post. In this post, you can put your affiliate links where the person scrolling through might click on and maybe even purchases a product. So this is basically the same as posting blog posts on your own website. Hosting your own website comes with its advantages, but so does medium.com!
One of the benefits of posting on Medium is that this is a very high ranking domain name on google. the domain score of this website is 86 (at the moment of writing), which is much, much higher than your own blog if you are just starting out. So because Medium has such a high domain score, it will outperform most of the small websites with a lower domain score. This means that you are going to rank on the first page in Google much easier than if you were going to write on a low domain score website. But remember, because of the high domain score, this doesn’t automatically translate into a guaranteed success. You have to do your part of writing a high-quality blog post too!
So now you can start out earning money without even hosting and maintaining your own website! It’s amazing what the power of the internet has to give us! Which one of these methods is your favorite? Let me know in the comment section below this blog post! I’d love to hear what you affiliate marketing business you are going to start!
